We are looking for a security/loss prevention officer that will be responsible for overall Loss Prevention activities related to the prevention, apprehension and prosecution of shoplifters. Officer will assist in conducting various investigations and managing security and safety issues. Officer must also consistently provide friendly and engaging customer service to all staff and customers.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain an atmosphere of friendly, enthusiastic customer service
Detect, apprehend and prosecute shoplifters
Prepare and submit reports involving investigations and Loss Prevention (LP) matters
Research and archive general liability incidents via C.C.T.V.
Participate in internal company investigations
Work with local, state and government agencies regarding company matters
Participate in maintenance of loss prevention and safety programs
Detect, investigate and report hazardous workplace incidents and issues
Provide store support by promoting loss prevention and safety awareness
Provide LP training to store staff
Skill & Experience:
Must be able to recognize the required criteria to determine what constitutes shoplifting
Demonstrate good judgment when responding to difficult situations or individuals
Provide excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills in a work setting
Document work and customer service activities
Apply strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Demonstrate initiative and self-direction
Work effectively in a team oriented environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 – $16.00 per hour
