Job Title: Inbound Security Officer (Data Entry & Access Control)
Location: Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inbound Security Officer to join our team at Port Everglades. This individual will be responsible for managing and processing truck driver information at the port’s entry point, ensuring accurate data entry and efficient access control. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy, bilingual (Spanish/English), and possess a strong understanding of security protocols.
Responsibilities:
Verify and accurately input truck driver information into the port’s database.
Manage and control access to the port, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles are permitted entry.
Inspect and verify driver credentials, including TWIC cards and driver’s licenses.
Maintain accurate records of all inbound traffic.
Operate and monitor security systems and equipment.
Communicate effectively with truck drivers, port personnel, and management.
Respond to and report any security incidents or irregularities.
Adhere to all port security regulations and procedures.
Provide excellent customer service to drivers and visitors.
Qualifications:
Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
Valid Florida Driver’s License.
Proven ability to accurately and efficiently input data.
Proficient computer skills, including data entry and basic software knowledge.
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
10 hours of overtime per week (guaranteed).
Compensation:
$19.00 per hour.
Interview Information:
We are conducting interviews for this position at our corporate office.
