Pomperaug Woods is recruiting for a hospitality focused overnight Security Guard to join our team!
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Security Guard:
Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property. Patrols inside and outside of the buildings and grounds of community.
Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
Keeps all main building, ambulance entrances and sidewalks clear of ice and snow.
Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
Checks and secures all exterior doors and windows as outlined in established checklist.
Sets door tabs.
Maintains security rounds, including but not limited to safety inspections, accident/incident, work orders, property damage, unusual occurrences and service requests. Must complete a written report for each shift.
Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
Escorts all employees to and from their vehicles after dark.
Important QUALIFICATIONS :
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple mechanical repairs.
One year’s experience in security preferred.
